Bacon Wrapped Figs

Sweet and Salty flavors combine for a wonderful taste explosion!

Ingredients:

    • 6 slices nitrate-free bacon , cut in half (can use scissors)
    • 12 figs, dried, trim off stem ends or use pitted datesFODMAP

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Wrap half a slice of bacon around the fig, secure with a toothpick.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.

Tip: 

You can pre cook the bacon till it's still soft and wrap-able to cut down on cooking time. You can replace the fig with pitted dates.  You may like to stuff the date with a slice of parmesan cheese or some goat cheese. Another option, before serving, connect a basil leaf over the bacon connecting it with the toothpick ends.
